I'm Rachel and I created Brown Bear Wellness to help provide practical, easy to follow information to help you take control of your wellbeing. I offer a variety of Workshops and Classes with the aim to help people understand of the importance of nutrition and movement.
My Story
I spent 14 years working in Nursing in both Ireland and Australia. Upon returning from Australia I embarked on a Masters in Food Science, Nutrition & Health, as this is an area I am greatly interested in.
Nutrition is a fundamental part of our overall health and wellbeing but can often be poorly understood.
The importance of movement and exercise in supporting healthy ageing was evident throughout my career as a nurse.
In recent times I have gained a qualification as an Accredited Personal Trainer, embarking on this course helped me to better understand biomechanics and exercise programming. Exercise and movement also promote health and wellbeing.
I have created this website to provide visitors with information on the variety of services I offer as well as provide some useful, easy to digest (pardon the pun!) advice through my blog.

I've been using the exercise plans to improve my fitness during menopause for a number of months, and I can't recommend Rachel enough. Tailor made gym sessions has taken pressure off me to work out how to meet my fitness goals which helps me fit in more gym sessions. The app helps me track my progression and achievements.
